Traditionally Idols in Japan have many rules and regulations that members must follow in order to stay in good standing with their management and fans.
In this blog post we wish to address exactly what Flusay Girls rules are for our members and how they differ to that of traditional idol constraints.
The first and most notable difference is the famous no dating rule which in the past has caused idols to loose their position, have serious lash back from their fans and even be sued over it by their management.
Flusay Girls implements no such rule. Our members are considered to be normal everyday net-idols (the girls next door) and as such they are free to live their life to get married, have a family or to have a boyfriend/partner and still maintain their position within the group.
We value our members and know that dating is a very important part of life and growing up to deny a basic life experience to our members we believe would be problematic and could place them in danger of being mistreated as well as cause them great mental distress so while we encourage them to be sensitive to their fans feelings we also ask their fans to be supportive of theirs and to know first and foremost our members physical and mental health is our number one priority so that they can continue to be there to entertain for many years to come and not be forced to leave due to wanting to be free to have a relationship.
The second issue you may of come across in traditional idol groups is the age barrier.
Most idol groups will not accept anyone over the age of 19 with the majority of girls debut in their early teens.
Flusay Girls has no age limit. While girls under the age of 18 will need their parents consent to join the group there is no official age cut off which means girls of any age can debut within Flusay Girls additionally this means that there are no forced graduations due to age which is a common practice in the Japanese idol industry.
Another more unknown idol rule is the weight limits some groups apply to their members. As we said previously our members mental and physical health are our number one priority so we do not implement any such rules for our members. We encourage our members to lead a active and healthy lifestyle however we do not pressure any of them to loose weight or to look a certain way.
In regards to other net-idol groups. Previously we have had an open policy meaning that our members were free to be active in and/or audition for other groups while being in Flusay Girls.
While we understand the nature of net idol groups and the desire of some members to be included in more then one project we will say that depending on the type of groups members are involved in it may effect their standing within the group.
To elaborate we believe it will be confusing to fans to see members in multiple groups managed by different net idol agency's. The cross over of content such as photos and promotional posts of members videos on social media and official net idol websites does not in our opinion benefit the groups involved and looks unprofessional. Members promoting other net idol groups with direct links in their social media bio is also confusing for fans as they don't see the member representing Flusay Girls but another group.
Members who have been involved in other net idol groups before 2016 will be aloud to continue their activities freely however they may not audition for any other net idol group (fan dub and dance cover groups are aloud as long as the member is not only promoting that group in their online bios but are mainly promoting Flusay Girls) limitations may apply to some activities with members in other net idol groups.
Members are free to share links to other net idol groups and to use their social media to help promote other net idol groups or solo artists they are just asked not to put direct links to other net idol groups in their bio/profile information.
This more recent change is due to the members of Flusay Girls expressing their wishes to be a professional group which we are striving towards.
Members of Flusay Girls and trainees represent the group even in their personal social media and are asked to keep this in mind when posting content.
Members who vanish from the group without explanation their profiles will be moved to the retired members page under unexpected graduations and these members will not be accepted back into the group without reasonable explanation on their disappearance.
Members who choose to graduate are free to reapply to the group the same way all applications go though our website and email address for evaluation.
We hope that this post covers most of the common questions we receive about rules and regulations of our members.
