In February 2017 it was brought to the attention of our staff that accusations of plagiarism had been made towards one of our songs titled "No More Salvation 2.0". The accusation being that this song had some similarities to a Tommy february6 song "Runaway".
Our staff took immediate action at reviewing and comparing the two songs and also getting 3rd party advice on what action to then take if anything was found.
As a result our findings were that the instrumental of No More Salvation 2.0 was similar to that of the Tommy February6 song but that the lyrics and lyric melody for No More Salvation 2.0 were in fact original to Flusay Girls having being created separately from the instrumental track in question.
The only similarities found in the lyrics were uses of the following words or phrases
Use of the word/s "Runaway", "faraway", "sunset"
and phrases "don't be scared", "i need more"
These phrases not used in the same context and the songs having different overall meanings, one of love and running away together and the other of a final ending and judgment to a relationship. The majority of melody and arrangements are both original and different to each other.
We were advised to take down the No More Salvation 2.0 and any previous versions from our social media account and associated websites which we did so immediately.
We apologize to our readers, subscribers, anyone who follows our social media accounts and anyone else specifically affected by these events.
The decision to hire new producers and mixers was made by our staff so that there would be no question as to the originality of the new instrumental and also to improve on the quality of the song.
We are confident in our decision and choice of producers and happy with the result and the new improved version of our song and are satisfied that there is no longer any question of plagiarism associated with the now current version of this song.
Again we sincerely apologize to all our readers, subscribers, everyone who follows our social media accounts and anyone else specifically affected by these events.
As a result we will take extra precautions to ensure that this never happens again in the future as we believe plagiarism to be a serious offence. We know that it is well known in the Jpop and Kpop idol industry that plagiarism is commonplace however we do stress that we never intended to plagiarise any other artist or individual in anyway and it was an unfortunate mistake that will to the best of our ability never be repeated again in our group.
Flusay Girls as a group has always been and will continue to be a positive, safe creative space for its members and staff to create original content together no matter what their skill level or ability is, to create opportunities for people with similar interests who would've otherwise had none.
We thank you for your continued support.
